Why I Created Calma and What I Want It To Become

From Concept to Creation

When I started formulating Calma Ezzence, I knew I wanted to combine the best of both worlds: gentle, natural ingredients and scientifically backed actives that help restore the skin barrier. But just as important as the formula was the feeling behind it. Skincare for eczema has always felt clinical, restrictive, and sometimes even shameful. I wanted to change that.

Calma Ezzence isn’t just about what’s in the jar—it’s about normalising imperfect skin, removing the stigma of eczema, and building a community where people feel seen and supported. Healing isn’t about achieving flawless skin; it’s about learning to work with your skin, rather than against it. I don’t believe in marketing a “cure” because eczema isn’t something that disappears overnight. Instead, my goal is to help people find joy and comfort in their skin, right now.

Finding the Right Partners

Once I had the vision and ingredients mapped out, the next challenge was finding someone who could turn it into a real product. I knew I wanted to manufacture in the UK to ensure quality and transparency, so I worked with a lab that shared my values. Together, we created a formula that nourishes, protects, and strengthens the skin without unnecessary fillers or irritants.

More Than Skincare

At its core, Calma is about honesty, empathy, and transparency. I never want people to feel like they have to “fix” themselves to be worthy of confidence and happiness. That’s why I designed Calma Ezzence to be more than just a product—it’s a mindset.

I hope that when people use Calma, they feel understood, supported, and empowered to embrace their skin, just as it is. Healing isn’t about striving for perfection; it’s about finding peace in the process. And that’s exactly what I want Calma to represent.
